Works in progress

I've had something particular in mind for a long long time, and now, that I've had enough time to reflect upon it, I thought it was time I got on with my research. "Dad,"  I said, "Where do you keep your stash of Viva Lancia! mags?" To which he responded, "I've only kept a handful that had Beta stuff in 'em!" I was mortified, for I was relying on his collections to provide me with all the info I needed. He threw away all of them. And he's been a club member since the early 80s! Imagine hundreds and hundreds of Viva Lancia! copies making their way into our recycling box? No? Well, neither can I, cause we don't recycle (shock, horror!) But anyway, it's over and done now, they've gone for good. Lucky that I am, I know some Lancisti that were a bit more careful with their possessions and they've kept every copy of the aforementioned mag. And I have access to them.
So, what a girl to do? For the time being, I had no choice but to settle for what I had - going through twenty (or so) carefully selected copies of Viva Lancia! and a glass of wine. I've even stumbled across the article my dad wrote about his 2000HF Coupe. Yes, I knew about it before, but only now it has become of a certain value to me.

Now, about that research. As I kept saying to many people - yes, I don't know everything there is to know about Lancia, but I'm working on it. And believe me, whilst I can tell the differences between the Beta Coupe series 1, 2, FL and FL2, I've still got a long way to go. The other day I was on a quest to find out what "B" stands for (in "Aurelia B24"), and believe it or not, my innocent question left quite a few hardcore Lancisti in a very puzzled state! That's women for you. Speaking of women, that is what my research is all about. I'm working on something that haven't been done yet (to my knowledge) and I feel that it might generate some interest from the female Lancisti and girls in general. Now, I'm not really what you'd call a feminist, but a little bit of girly content is hardly going to hurt anyone, is it? Brace yourselves...

P.S. And here was I, thinking that I might end up shutting the blog down due to the lack of content since I moved back to the UK (yes, even the Lancia Hunter can get all insecure sometimes). Strangely enough, my head is totally buzzing with ideas and even when my dad says that I'm "barking up the wrong tree", I say that it's all trial and error. It's not like I'm implementing some radical changes here (remember that spot-a-Prius idea?), I'm just trying my best to create some interesting content that is original.
