15 Minutes of Fame

Well, hello there. I bet you've all received your shiny new Viva Lancia issue (that is if you belong to the LMC crowd) and you've all seen our creation there. If you haven't, here it is! Special thank you goes to Jack Romano for sending me the magazine.

Speaking of Jack, there's a little story I can tell you (just to make this post into something else other than a pure show off!)

I first met Jack in 2005 at the AGM (that actually sounds like ages ago). That was a good one, I remember lots of Stratoses (or shall that be Strati?) with Italian number plates and a red Hyena in the flesh, or rather, in the metal for the first time. It was a very hot and sunny day, in fact, we all got sunburnt. And Jack was there with the club regalia, wearing a black suit, a dark shirt and a tie. And massive sunglasses. That was the epitome of cool; I thought at the time that no one else would be able to pull that off at 30 degrees Celsius. The talking point at first was that we both kinda share a name. No, I'm not called Jackie, if that's what you thought, it's the surname I'm on about. That was quite amusing at the time and I've also told him about the short film I've made about Lancias. I was all set to become the next Spielberg. In fact, when I get back home next time, I will upload some mini-clips from my Lancia documentary (luckily for me, I still have all release forms from people I've interviewed, so I can do that without being sued!) Anyway, it developed into a long film chat and Jack said he had some ideas. A year later I went to become a student at the film school and Jack sent me a really awesome story about a werewolf. It even got to the stage where I was all set to make it, yet it didn't pass the criteria for a school project (always like this, innit?)
