Auto Italia Day at Gaydon 2011

No, I won't rant. I really want to, but I won't. Not here though; I'm saving it all for a different outlet.

I'll be positive. Nice and sunny day to start with, albeit very windy. Me being me, wore a skirt and ended up having a few of those 'Marilyn' moments much to everyone's amusement! Was lovely to see Phil Mitchell's Flavia Sport - last time seen and photographed by me in Paris at Tour Auto. Caught a glimpse of 2 Fulvias Sport Zagato (orange and white), but they have disappeared so suddenly I didn't even get a picture! Walked round the museum. Went round the track in a Land Rover. Took pictures. And the most important thing - catching up with the people I don't get to see often and meeting some new faces. This part I did enjoy thoroughly.

Lancia Motor Club AGM July 2011

It's all happening! I've made it to the LMC AGM on Sunday and I bring you my trophies. There were over 80 cars and I thought that if I take picture of every single one, I will not have time for anything else. So here are my personal favourites of the day.
Little Y10, all alone in its class
Thesis - the 100th Anniversary edition
My favourite one
Hyena (long time no see!)
Beta Spider
Fulvia with crazy tuning
Zagato beast

To tell you the truth, it was a great day. The weather was pretty warm, could have done with an ice cream van! And a bouncy castle for the kids. Some of them looked well bored, but I can understand that. Try listening to your dad do the the tech talk for hours and hours and stay awake. Mind you, when those kids grow up, they will be the future of the LMC, so it's better they get used to it from the early age...

P.S. I was going to do a massive report on the AGM, but to be honest, I think I'll leave you with the pictures for now and do a write up later. That'll keep me focused...

Tour Auto 2011 - Pictures

Woohoo! I have finally made it to the checks and scrutineering stage of Tour Auto 2011. Mind you, Monday isn't exactly the best day of the week to go to a car show (the rest of the working population will agree with me on this one!) Anyway, some real gems here, so hope you enjoy the pics (apologies for the barrier strap getting in the way, but it was difficult to get decent pics unless you were from the press. That's it, next year I'm getting myself a press pass and a mean looking camera!)

Flavia Sport (driven by our team. Look closer & you'll see the LMC sticker!)

Flaminia Sport

Looks absolutely stunning in red, don't you think?
Well, hello there!

Retromobile 2011

It happened! I've been to Retromobile 2011! Not many Lancias, I must tell you! However this is what I've seen:

Lambda

The one and only car at the French Lancia Club stall, Flavia Sport.
Not impressed with their display at all, LMC have put on a much better selection at NEC Classic car show!!!

Lancia Heritage display.

Lancia Heritage display

Octane stall had a Grale :) How sweet of them!

Nice and surprising to see younger crowd being into Lancias.

All yours for 95.000 euros

And highlight of the day: Lancia Ferrari as driven by Fangio.
There was a nice little Fangio display.
(If you're in the UK, there is one at the Donnington museum as well)
